Death Cafe is a national movement providing a place to hold a conversation about death with “a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.” During these meetings, there is a facilitated discussion which follows the interests of those attending. Death Cafe does not provide counseling or grief support, but is a place where discussions can take place in a thoughtful atmosphere. An article in the Washington Post (https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/death-and-scones-cozy-gatherings-make-end-of-life-conversations-less-scary/2014/05/03/060b72e8-cc9b-11e3-93eb-6c0037dde2ad_story.html) provides more insight into Death Cafe.
