Nonprofit Mastermind
Lesley MacDonald, Executive Director of Nonprofit Montgomery, will speak about how collaboration and continuing education are used to strengthen nonprofit impact. Participants will learn of the programs available through Nonprofit Montgomery; how advocacy is facilitated, how metrics can translate into increased funding, and the benefits of programs that bring together nonprofit leaders.
Lesley MacDonald is the Executive Director of Nonprofit Montgomery. Lesley has over 20 years of experience in philanthropy as a grantmaker for health and human services. She served as the Director of Community Investment at the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia, where she worked on initiatives including Serving Together. Previously she served as the Vice President of Community Impact at the United Way of Greater New Haven, where she carried out a community needs assessment and worked with nonprofits on outcome measurement. Lesley has a background in strategic planning, program development, and capacity-building. Lesley is a resident of Montgomery County, and is an active community and school volunteer. She received her Masters in Social Work in Public Policy, Planning and Administration from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work and a BA from Hampshire College.
